Linebaugh Field
Also called "The Dump Site" since it is located at a Landfill.
This is a "Helicopter Only" flying field.
The Linebaugh Field is available for flying
only when the landfill is open, which means hours of operation usually are : Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM until dark, Saturdays 9:30
AM until dark, Sundays & Holidays closed. There is NO taxiing in the pit areas, nor in the center part of the piloting
area (what is known as the "Yellow Line"). Linebaugh Field has a combination padlock, the combination for
which is only given to members of BCF. Do not fly over or behind the shelter for any reason. There is a noise
limitation at this field of 95 dB, and a certifying sticker to that effect is required to fly here.

Driving Directions: Linebaugh Field is located
at the Landfill near the corner of Linebaugh Avenue and Wilsky Blvd. On Linebaugh, about 1/4 mile west of the Veterans
Expressway, on the north side of Linebaugh, you enter the Landfill area through the entrance cars would use (do not use the
'commerical' truck entrance). Drive straight back to a 20X20 shelter (covered carport). You must
park at the base of the hill, and carry your helicopter and equipment up to the shelter.
Hours : This gate, and
therefore the Flying Field, is Open during Landfill business hours, Monday-Friday, & Saturday. Closed Sundays
& Holidays.
