The Pond Site

The Pond Site is both a water and land flying field for float and land-based airplanes, however there is limited and sometimes no water flying due to weeds and growth.   Hours of operation are : Monday - Sunday from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM.  Be aware that alligators are in the pond, so please be careful !

Driving Directions: From South Mobley Road, enter the main entrance to Ed Radice Park.  Go straight on the main park road and go through the Water Department gate.  BCF Members have a gate combination issued to them for use.  Proceed from the gate down the road until you reach a Stop sign.  Go left at the Stop sign.  Follow the paved road until it ends.  Proceed straight ahead on the dirt road.  Take the second left onto a "green" road (it usually has grass growing on it.)  Proceed down the "green" road approximately 1/4 mile, and turn right - this will take you into the very small parking area.

If you find the parking area "under water" (as happens during the wet season), you'll want to take the second right off the "green" road, and then you'll park alongside the edge of the runway.

Note : There is no Pilot Shelter at this field.
