Darrly Sweetwine's ROTC Students enjoyed a great day of RC flying instruction on December 13th.  Approximately ten students were present.  Pictures and a report will be posted when received.

Bay City Flyers Fighter Town USA Military Fly-In:

This event under the leadership of Tim Norris and Gene Monroe, Co-Contest Directors, was a great success.  Twenty two participating pilots provided great skills of war plane flying.  Joe Barzyz and Darryl Sweetwine attended the main gate, Jim Slaughter did the announcing, Jim Shupe handle all the registration and Missie and Ric Collins ran the kitchen with the help of Ric's brother Tom and Werner Keil.

The awards consisted of five trophies, Best W W I, Best Golden Age, Best     W W II, Best Post W W II and Best of Show.  The winners were selected by the participating pilots.  Also a book of Fighting Aircraft, blueprints and a fiberglass fuselage, cowl and a canopy of a P 51 plus other blueprints were raffled off.

The trophy winners were:  W W I  Larry Utt with his SE5A, Golden Age Dennis Kheber with his Stearman, W W II Scott Prossen with his Yak II, Post W W II Joe Denicola with his Skyrader and Best of Show Bill McCallie with his Mosquito.

Mother Nature cooperated and the day was great for flying.  The spectator turnout was very good and everyone seemed to enjoy the event.

Some of the following pictures are not clear and I apologize.  I'm having a problem with my camera.
